Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, show your first name on our website while you are, and keep the site secure. Only if you accept when we ask on your first visit, we also remember which sales partner referred you and run our analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. We use no advertising cookies.

01 · What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way. This Policy explains which ones epono uses and why. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

02 · Cookies we always use

These are strictly necessary for the Services to work. They do not require your consent and cannot be switched off.

  • Session cookie — keeps you signed in and links your requests to your account. Expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
  • Security cookies — protect against fraudulent sign-ins, automated abuse and cross-site request forgery, including those set by our security provider, Cloudflare.
  • Preferences — remember your language, and keep an unfinished conversation with the AI assistant: on our website for 24 hours after your last message, and in your account for as long as that browser tab is open. These use your browser's own storage rather than cookies.
  • Cookie choice — remembers, for one year, whether you accepted our analytics or chose essential cookies only, so that we do not ask on every visit. It holds nothing else.
  • Your first name: while you are signed in to your account, a cookie named epono_name holds your first name on our domain, so that our website shows it, linked to your account, instead of asking you to sign in again. It holds nothing else and does not sign you in: your account still asks for your session. It is removed when you sign out, and otherwise ends 7 days after you last opened your account.
  • Local Partner links: if you follow a Local Partner's link to an Order it prepared for you, or to a free-month code, or type a free-month code when you sign up, we remember that Order or code until you are signed in, so that it is waiting for you: for as long as the Order can be loaded, and for a day for a code. They hold the link or the code and nothing else.
  • Payment cookies — set by Stripe on checkout pages to process your payment securely and prevent fraud.

04 · Analytics and page speed, without cookies

  • Analytics — Vercel Web Analytics helps us understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so that we can improve it. It runs only if you accept it. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It counts the pages visited (with account numbers and one-time links removed from the address), the site that sent you, campaign tags, the country (worked out from your IP address, which is not kept) and the type of device, browser and operating system. It does not identify you or follow you to other websites.
  • Page speed — Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast our pages load for real visitors (the Core Web Vitals), so that we can make them faster. It runs only if you accept it, together with the analytics above. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It sends the page visited (cleaned in the same way), the timing measurements, the type of device and connection, and the country worked out from your IP address, which is not kept. It does not identify you.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites for advertising. If we ever want to use another cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first.

05 · Your choices

On your first visit to our website we ask whether you accept optional cookies and analytics. If you choose essential cookies only, or do not answer, the analytics and the page-speed measurement do not run and the referral cookie is not set, even if you followed a partner's link. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie choices" link at the bottom of every page. The referral cookie is set only when you follow a partner's link after accepting, or have accepted before. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block necessary cookies, parts of the Services will not work.
